On September 13, 2014 the 2nd Annual Friends & FUNds Cocktail Party was held at the Country Club of Hudson. The guest speaker was Dr. Catherine Kelly-Langen. John & Yvonne Hays gave an inspiring update on Carson's year. The guests reconnected with friends and had a blast dancing to the DJ'd music of the Beach Boyz. The event raised over $20,000!
On June 26, 2014, the PPC Family Fund Board members were guest bartenders at Marcelita's Restaurant in Hudson. It was a great way to connect with the community, raise funds, and create excitement for the 2nd Annual Friends and FUNds cocktail party.
October 19, 2013 was the first of many events that the PPC Family Fund Board members will host. The Family & FUNds Cocktail Party was very succesful due to the hard work of the committee and generosity from the guests. Dr. Sarah Freibert (The director of the Haslinger Family Pediatric Palliative Care Center at Akron Children's Hospital) educated the guests about palliative care, while Yvonne Hays gave an inside look on what palliative care means to her daughter, Carson, and their family.
The PPC Family Fund Board Members support fund-raising events for Children's Miracle Network. On June 22, 2014, the PPC group greeted guests of the walk and carnival, and enjoyed their time with other passionate supporters.
Our annual party, Friends & FUNds, may be our primary fundraiser during the year, but the PPC Family Fund board members are always planning fun ways to give back to the community.
D'Angelo's of Twinsburg, Ohio hosted the June Guest Bartending event for the PPCFamily Fund. There were so many fun and new people to meet! In addition to all of the delicious free appetizers, D'Angelos also donated six $25 gift certificates for the raffle drawings. One lucky guest won a beautiful Italian gourmet food and wine basket, as 6 winners walked away with a gift certificate from D'Angelos.

The third annual PPC Family Fund was once again held at the Country Club of Hudson, on October 10, 2015. The beautiful vehicle donated by our friend, and Superhero, Don Sitts, was proudly displayed for all to see. Dr. Sarah Freibert shared with the guests how the PPC Family Fund is helping the children in the palliative care program. All were treated to a fabulous performance by Dance Unlimited, the dance therapy group from Akron Children's Hospital. In addition to the donated vehicle enabling the palliative care team to make necessary home visits, The PPC Family Fund raised $15,000.
